image At Thursday 28. October 2004, during the World Preview Event of Guild Wars, the Wolf Guard [WOLF] guild had been founded. It initially consisted of about two dozen members of an international gaming community which all shared a common interest in cooperative, multiplayer online gaming. Now, in 2009, we are still here. While most of the active members might have changed over the course of the years the original spirit is yet the very same: playing together and having fun - while keeping the unfriendly people and the troublemakers out.

Currently the majority of our active players comes from Europe, places like Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Austria. Once upon a while we had been far more international, with players from the United States, Canada, Australia, and even some exotic places like New Caledonia. Unfortunately the thing with the time zones became more and more an issue and we were not able to keep that global-wide internationality.

On the other hand there are some fine guilds in our alliance which again increase our range of countries by bringing in people from e.x. Russia and Bulgaria. That alliance had been founded by us together with the guilds Tower of High Sorcery [ToHS] and Serial Sleepers [zZz] which we already knew from the last alliance we all had been in. We are aligned with the Luxons - turtles with cannons, 'nuff said.

As gamers we are mainly interested in PvE but a couple of us are currently trying to gain a foothold in Hero's Ascent. In addition playing some rounds of alliance battles is a PvP activity most of us do once in a while.

Please note there are several guilds with the tags [WOLF] or [Wolf] but we are the one with the black and white cape with the red wolf prawn and we are the one with the very first photo of the famous Template Button featured in our review of the Games Convention 2006 in Leipzig, Germany.

              The Rule
border icon

Be Respectful !

Bascially this is the one big rule we all try to stick to. Any other rules are pretty much derivated from it.

"Being respectful" means you are polite, friendly, helpful and care about the other people in your community, guild and alliance. It means you do your part to keep this a place where we come together to have fun in our sparetime.

"Being unrespectful" means your are unpolite, unfriendly, egoistic and don't care about others. It means you curse, you insult and you intentionally try to ruin others' fun.

Please note that we have a community wide "zero tolerance" attitude concerning any vulgar and obscene language, whether in the forum or in TeamSpeak. We do have many young people and we have many mothers and fathers with kids in the background so please watch your language while being with us.

Please even note that religion and politics are topics not being talked about at WOLF.

              The Application

image As long as you feel ok with sticking to that rule you are very welcome to register at our guild forum and and make an application posting there. You should describe who you are and what you do and why you want in our guild and basically trying to convince us that you are a nice person. Afterwards we'll try to arrange a playing session together, a mission or a quest or whatever else, to get a first impression of you and verify you're a kind guy or gal that would fit in our guild.

Please note that being in the Wolf Guard has nothing to do with ingame character values or ingame achievements but is only about your real life attitute as a human being. If you're a fine person you'll have a lot of fun with us.
